(312) 964-8834Emergency Situations We Handle
Complete Cooling Failure
Your Sub-Zero has stopped cooling entirely. Food temperatures are rising and your perishable inventory is at risk. This is the most time-sensitive emergency we handle.
Refrigerant Leak
You hear hissing sounds, detect a chemical odor, or see oily residue near your Sub-Zero. A refrigerant leak requires immediate professional attention for both safety and system preservation.
Compressor Failure
The compressor has stopped operating, is making grinding noises, or is tripping your electrical breaker. Without the compressor, no cooling is possible.
Water Flooding
Water is actively leaking from or around your Sub-Zero, threatening floors, cabinetry, and potentially the units below in high-rise buildings.
Burning Odor
Any burning smell from your Sub-Zero requires you to disconnect the unit and call immediately. This may indicate an electrical fault or motor failure.
Post-Storm Electrical Failure
After power surges or outages, your Sub-Zero will not restart or is displaying error codes. Storm damage to control boards and start components requires expert diagnosis.
While You Wait for Our Technician
Keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed to preserve cold temperatures as long as possible.
A sealed, well-stocked Sub-Zero freezer can maintain safe temperatures for up to 48 hours.
A closed refrigerator will maintain safe temperatures for approximately 4 hours.
If you smell burning, disconnect the unit from power immediately by unplugging it or switching off the breaker.
If water is flooding, place towels to contain the spread and turn off the water supply valve if accessible.
Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself. Internal components carry electrical and refrigerant hazards.
Note any error codes displayed on the control panel to share with our technician upon arrival.
Do Not Wait. Call Now.
Our emergency technicians are available 24/7 and carry the parts and tools needed to resolve most Sub-Zero emergencies on the first visit.
